When I was suffering from teeth sensitiveness 1½ years back I had visited a dentist in Mulund. After he was through with the examination he said “if you want to feel better you will have to undergo Root Canal”. I immediately stepped out of the clinic saying I needed some time to think and thereafter never visited and dentist because of the fear inside me.

When I joined BNI I got the privilege to meet Dr. Richard Pereira and took an appointment for a routine check-up. I was so very impressed, the way he made me understand each and every detail about my teeth and gums and assured that there is nothing wrong. He suggested I should change the technique of brushing my teeth and relax. He said never think about your wife while brushing teeth.

Once again, I am really thankful to Dr. Richard for helping me remove the fear in me.

I write this testimonial with immense appreciation for you and your clinic.

The day I entered your clinic, I felt a sense of peace and began to feel comfortable. It was not only because you and your team made me feel at ease. Not only because your clinic prides itself of the latest gadgets in the dental world. Not only because of the cleanliness and sterile surroundings. Not only because of all your credentials proudly displayed at the entrance of your esteemed clinic. It was something much more special. It was the melodic hymns that played in the background.

I was always nervous about getting my left side wisdom tooth taken off, as my last experience two years ago was quite a painful one. I did express all my anxieties and concerns of this experience to you, and you were certain that I would have a much less painful experience at Gum Care.

I finally gave in and decided to go ahead and get the wisdom teeth extracted. This was surely a ‘wise’ decision for me. I was made to feel at ease right through the oral surgery and the surgeon kept reassuring me through the procedure. At the end of it all, I was told that it was one of the most complex extractions done at Gum Care to date. One tooth had to be cut right through as it was wedged into the bone, and the other had four roots holding it into place. Nasty little fellas!!! Believe me, the most comforting was the sweet music that kept my nerves at ease.

Well the little ‘wise’ guys are out now, and I’, recuperating from the surgery. Much less pain from the last time around. Much more comfortable too. For my own sake, I do hope I do not need to get onto the hot seat again, but if I do, then I know its gonna be at Gum Care.

I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending your clinic to most of my friends and relatives, some of whom are in a lot of ‘pain’, waiting to come down from abroad to get their teeth attended to.

I recently had the pleasure of being treated for an aching tooth at Dr. Pereira’s clinic. Being a stranger to Mumbai and uncertain about where to seek recourse for my worsening pain, I was relieved when my insurance company in Slovenia was able to arrange for an emergency visit to Dr. Pereira’s clinic, even though it was Sunday and most clinics were closed. Dr. Pereira showed up especially to see me despite his day off an I took great comfort in knowing that my condition, still a mystery at the time, was afforded such immediate attention.

I have visited dentists in the U.S. and several European countries, but the service I received over the next two sessions at Dr. Pereira’s clinic was the best so far, by a mile. First, a careful diagnostic process, where more easily treatable causes for my pain were considered in order to avoid an unnecessarily invasive procedure.

It turned out I was lucky, and required only a cleaning of the gums and a filling, even though the pain had been substantial and had led me to suspect I might even be experiencing a recurrence of a root canal, something I had been treated for, a few years back. But fortunately not so. Dr. Pereira explained patiently just what had happened to my tooth and how to avoid it in the future and gave me a choice of treatments, clearly explaining the differences between them. The actual procedures were surprisingly painless and, it turns out, very effective. It’s been a few weeks since my visit, and my tooth feels great. Throughout, Dr. Pereira and his entire staff were terrifically friendly and accommodating.

I would highly recommend anyone in the Mumbai area to give this clinic a try. Foreigners, considering procedures that are expensive in their home countries may find it worthwhile to travel o India instead and get quality service at much, much better prices at a clinic like Dr. Pereira’s All in all, two thumbs up.
